The job market in Austin and the opportunity of working for Amazon is currently growing at a rapid pace in here in Austin Texas. Already a substantial employer to the Austin area the retailer Amazon will be adding 800 technology jobs to its North Austin location. The Amazon office is housed in a 145,000 square-foot space located at the Domain and is anticipated to open by next year.

Amazon employs more than 5,600 workers already in the Austin area and the plans to expand their presence will be grossly beneficial to the city of Austin. One of the major reasons Amazon is planting more roots in Austin is the great pool of potential employees.  Many Austinites and transplants have a solid education in the technology sector and have excellent talent to offer companies like Amazon.
