Austin Music Events etc.
The annual South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) began in 1987 as a way to draw the attention of the music industry to Austin’s considerable local talent. Austin Texas has long been a creative center for an eclectic blend of music stemming from the city’s German Mexican and colonial heritage. From a small successful beginning SXSW has grown into a showcase for music film and interactive media. The conference combines exhibits of the latest technology with the opportunity to mingle with people from all aspects of the entertainment industry. And of course there are plenty of live music performances for everyone to enjoy.

It is expected to draw 120000 spectators.
