About Masonwood

Jim Meredith founded Masonwood Development in 1994, specializing in land entitlement and development for single family housing and new home communities in Austin, TX. In 1999 Meredith and Jim Gressett joined forces to create the premier Behrens Ranch neighborhood in Southwest Austin, forging a solid and lasting partnership.

Idea Homes was founded in 2011, and in 2018 Masonwood partnered with them to create unique, modern homes.  In 2020 the companies merged to form Masonwood Homes, bringing together more than 140 combined years of experience in both land development and home building.
