According to Meyers Research the Millennial population is quiet partial to the Austin area in fact – Austin ranks number four on the Meyers Millennial Desirability Index (MDI).
The MDI is based on a few items: job growth and total employment (Bureau of Labor Statistics) cost of living (Numbeo) wage potential (U.S. Census Bureau) quality of life (U.S. News and World Report) fun index (WalletHub) and affordable housing availability (Zonda by Meyers Research).
With affordability being one of the most attractive factors to millennials equally as important is the job market and potential job opportunities.
