According to Hired’s 4th annual State of Salaries report Austin’s tech salaries grew faster than any other major U.S. city.  The 15 percent incline over the last three-year period means that those with expertise in the IT industry can land a great position making a competitive wage.

The average IT salary in Austin rose from $118000 in 2017 to $125000 in 2018.  It is no secret that tech companies are not hard to come by in Austin either.  Many headquarters and development  centers continue to build and relocate to Austin siting the quality of life and low cost of living as a major factor for their prospective employees.
