Can you imagine your little one going to school every day in a children’s museum? For our preschoolers, that’s their everyday experience—and it’s as magical as it sounds.

Little Thinkers Preschool is a one-of-a-kind early learning program located inside Thinkery—Austin’s hands-on children’s museum. Here, curiosity leads the way as children learn through play, discovery, and exploration in a space designed just for them.

Students enjoy daily access to Thinkery’s STEAM-focused exhibits, outdoor play areas, and a dedicated outdoor classroom tailored to support preschool-aged learners through meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Museum Mondays are a weekly favorite. When the museum is closed to the public, preschoolers take the lead! Children enjoy guided exhibit time with Thinkery’s Museum Experience team. Digging into hands on sensory play, and gathering together for a cozy interactive story-time that sparks imagination.

Outdoor play is a vital part of every school day. Children spend up to an hour outdoors each morning, with an additional hour in the afternoon for those in extended care. The private outdoor classroom promotes movement, creative exploration, and social growth—while offering just the right balance of challenge and independence. On days when the museum is closed, preschoolers also have access to Thinkery’s outdoor galleries for even more adventure.

With small class sizes, caring educators, and a playful, enriching environment, Little Thinkers Preschool helps children grow into curious, confident learners.
